Preparation Materials and Books

Our team frequently receives the questions "How should I prepare for the competition?" and "What books would you recommend?". Following skills are required to solve the IAAC problems:

• Creativity and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read and understand scientific content.
• Skills in mathematics for calculation problems.
• Broad knowledge in astronomy and astrophysics.
• Decent understand of the English language.

In general, all standard school or university books from your local region are useful and contain most information required to approach the problems. Besides that, several popular astronomy and physics books will communicate interesting and usufull knowledge about astrononomy, cosmology, and astrophysics.
