My name is Matej Milosievski. I’m scholarship student and current senior at Yahya Kemal College – Skopje. Ever since I can remember, I have had this underlying, yet unceasing curiosity about the stars above. I have always wondered what’s beyond Earth’s horizon, and what secrets lay afar the dark emptiness of space. Over the years, I have been a part of many international Olympiads and events. One of my all-time favorite memories is participating in the International Nasa Space Apps Challenge in 2020, where my team and I placed 8th globally. Subsequently in 2021 and 2022, I took part in the International Astronomy and Astrophysics Competition (IAAC), receiving a Bronze Honor in the Final Round for two consecutive years. The beginning of IAAC marked by the Qualification Round is a time I truly look forward to every year. Going through the problems for the first time, distinguishing the known from the “soon to be learned” is a feeling that never gets old.
