I am Md. Shariful Islam from Mymensingh, Bangladesh, currently pursuing my BSc in Information Technology and Management at Daffodil International University (DIU) with a CGPA of 3.80, while working remotely as Assistant Sales Manager at Beige Corporation, a USA-based on-demand photography and videography service company. My journey began in school at Gafargaon Islamia Government High School, where I co-founded Odommo 19, a voluntary organization that has benefited thousands of street children and underprivileged people, fully run from our own savings to support the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Later, while studying in class 11 at Shahid Syed Nazrul Islam College, I actively participated in competitions and achieved notable awards including Bangladesh Informatics Olympiad 2020 (11th place), Talent Hunt National Champion 2020 (Quran Recitation), and National Children’s Prize Competition 2019 (Divisional Winner). My dedication to volunteerism and creativity earned me the DobriMir Welfare Fellowship 2019 by the Russian social welfare organization DobriMir. Over the years, I have served as Official Ambassador of the International Youth Math Challenge (since 2019), Co-Founder of the International Youth Development Society, Founder & Director of the Skill Development Olympiad, and ICT Secretary of the National Debate Federation Bangladesh – Mymensingh District, and held roles with Volunteer for Bangladesh, BD Clean, Nirvoy Foundation, Amar Ma Foundation, and as a Rover Scout. I also gained professional experience at 10 Minute School, Bangladesh’s largest EdTech platform, working in roles such as Project Executive (Sales), Affiliate Coordinator, Retention Manager, and Contributor. Alongside my academic and professional life, I’ve actively sought international exposure, participating in programs like the UMBC Summer Intensive English & Cultural Leadership Exchange Program (USA, 2023), Semester Exchange at Mälardalen University, Sweden via Erasmus+ (2024), 2nd ASECU Youth Winter School (Poland, 2024), European Forum of Young Leaders (Warsaw, 2024), Hanyang International Summer School (Online, 2024), and virtual exchanges with Malaysian and Russian universities, where I explored entrepreneurship, AI, intercultural communication, cloud computing, and leadership. I also took part in the Hult Prize 2023 (DIU Finalist), Savoy Business Case Competition 2022, and Project Consulate (HR) (2023), and co-authored the book "Student with Excellency" published at Amar Ekushey Boimela 2022. Beyond personal growth, I am passionate about helping Bangladeshi youth discover global opportunities; recently, I’m also planning to co-organize a two-week youth leadership and climate literacy camp in South Asia aimed at developing English, leadership, and climate awareness among students. My story, which began with school-level volunteerism and competition, now spans across professional roles, global conferences, and leadership initiatives, driven by a vision to empower youth locally and globally through education, cultural exchange, and social impact. My favorite activities remain problem solving, reading books, exploring new technologies, and community building, and I continue to serve as a mentor and guide for students interested in international programs, proving that with dedication and curiosity, young people from Bangladesh can make a real impact beyond borders.
